Shaping Creative Strategy and High-Fidelity Marketing for Pioneer Artificial Intelligence
During the height of the pandemic, I had the absolute pleasure of developing and contributing to the creation of not one, but two groundbreaking startup applications. Long before generative AI became a household word accessible to the general public, we were navigating uncharted territory. Our first venture, Mentle Inc., was born from a fresh, incredibly challenging premise: an AI chatbot therapy assistant.
We weren't using off-the-shelf APIs. For months, we worked endlessly to train our AI models completely from scratch, securing real therapeutic licenses and access to clinical recorded sessions to build genuine data infrastructure. I fell completely in love with the pitch and the sheer scale of the creative challenge the exact day it was brought to me. It was wildly unlike anything I had ever tackled before, and it demanded an entirely fresh approach to digital execution.
"Anyone who has ever been in therapy knows the exact feeling of leaving the office or pressing the hang-up button, you are left feeling incredibly vulnerable and raw, realizing those 60 minutes weren’t quite enough. Mentle was designed to fill that void. Not as a therapy replacement, but as an ever-present assistant."
Overseeing this evolution was a masterclass in global creative alignment. I had the true honor of witnessing everything come to life across weekly design synchs with brilliant team members spread across conflicting global timezones. When a product is strictly in its MVP development phase, the creative runway is limitless. It allowed for an incredibly avant-garde approach to the strategic layout, branding direction, and investor marketing materials that I was trusted to lead.
From Pitch Decks to Prototypes
This wasn't cold, commercial sales; it was the art of pure pitching. To command immediate investor trust, I pushed past basic presentation slides and completely immersed myself in Figma. I leveled up my technical skillset, transforming flat ideas into interactive, clickable prototypes. By pairing an exclusive, high-end feel with real user-testing frameworks, we made an invisible tech stack feel tangible, elite, and beautiful to early backers.
Branching Into 'Pattern'
As our dataset deepened, Mentle branched off into a highly specialized, deeply analytical sister platform named Pattern.
Pattern was engineered specifically to monitor, analyze, and map complex behavioral data loops over time, integrating interactive features like live clinical testing tracking modules.
In an era before mass consumer AI, visualizing behavioral analytics beautifully was a massive creative victory. It proved that raw data could feel warm, premium, and humanly protective.
